The Hope Bay Project is a Nunavut-based gold mine and advanced exploration project with access to the arctic ocean.
Services provided include:
- Management of environmental compliance programs related to advanced exploration projects and developing gold mine during pre-construction and construction phase.
- Establishing, training, and working in collaboration with a team of almost exclusively indigenous environmental staff involved in all aspects of project environmental compliance and environmental monitoring.
- Indigenous, regulatory and community engagement and collaborative development of monitoring programs.
- Development and support of permitting including development of an EIS, Project Certificate amendment, Type A Water Licence amendment, and Type B Water Licence and Water Licence Renewal applications.
- Compliance program development and implementation, monitoring, reporting, and technical review.
- Scoping, budgeting, and scheduling of environmental programs, field program coordination, supervision and safety program development, and management of environmental and engineering contractors.
- Management system, plan and procedure development, including wildlife and aquatic effects monitoring programs.
