Back River Project, Nunavut

A Nunavut-based developing gold mine and advanced exploration project with access to the arctic ocean via 160 km winter ice road. 

Services provided include:

• Development and revision of environmental management and monitoring programs related to: Marine, Aquatic Effects Monitoring Plan (AEMP) and Environmental Effects Monitoring (EEM), Oil Pollution Prevention Plan (OPPP) & Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP), Spill Contingency, Waste Management, Incineration, Shipping, Road, Fuel, Hazardous Materials, Closure and Reclamation, Waste Rock, Quarry Management, Vegetation, and Air Quality. 
• Support of project regulatory licensing and amendment and modification.
• Annual Water Licence reporting
• Marine Monitoring Program design and reporting
• Environmental Emergency Regulations registration and compliance
• Advice and support related to applicable federal and territorial regulatory requirements and processes
• Leading workshops with regulatory and Inuit groups related to Aquatic Effects Monitoring Program/ Environmental Effects Monitoring/ Marine Monitoring Program development
